Fat dad to slim dad - Watch step by step as I try to get fit
Like most new dads, I have got fat. Laugh along with me while I try to get back into shape
Like most dads, I have got incredibly fat and unfit during V’s first year of life. It’s not a surprise that stress, very little sleep and no time for exercise is pretty hard on the body. It's even worse when you are over 40, already lazy and unhealthy and living in a pandemic when the gym is closed.
But that’s enough moaning (there is enough of that on the main blog). I have decided it’s time to get fit again, I don’t want to be a fat, tired old dad at the park. One of the reasons for starting the blog is to try and record the details of this. It might make interesting, if not that original reading, but more importantly I hope it will encourage me to keep going. So the plan is pretty simple - to start with I am just going to record the basics each day (weight, number of steps, food, if I go to the gym etc) I will expand (not physically) I hope as I go on.
