Cubitts - Review
Cubitts - the perfect optician and shop for glasses. Not just for cool hipsters.
Yesterday I got my fourth pair of glasses from Cubitts. I wasn't expecting to, as we are very short of cash. I was getting some new lenses put into old frames. But as the assistant popped out the lenses, I heard an ominous crack, which was a worry. The manager turned to me and said, 'it's your lucky day you get new frames too'. I think this sums them up. They make lovely frames that they sell at a reasonable price and don't mess you around.
They understood I am short of cash but needed new lenses and offered to pop them into the old frames. All frames come in all colours and different sizes, which is nice for someone like me with a huge head.
They do have a little bit of a reputation as hipster glasses. I think that is probably true. But so what. The frames are stylish, well made and very strong (despite the point above). Also, you can adjust for your life, so my first pair were a pair of cool clear frames, then clear yellow. But now I need something more serious... so they are grey.
Great glasses, good opticians, lovely shops and a friendly team. I can not praise you highly enough.
